Cyberverse was the encompassing name for the "micro play" play pattern starting with the Dark of the Moon toyline. It replaced the Legends Class (the size class had been absorbed into Cyberverse under the new name "Legion Class") and, to a lesser extent, the Scout Class (replaced by the slightly smaller Cyberverse "Commander Class", which took its name from the Power Core Combiners line). The Cyberverse toys were roughly in relative scale with each other (though there were still scale problems; Bumblebee, a Chevrolet Camaro, and Starscream, an F-22 Raptor, were the same size). Cyberverse figures were designed to interact with various transforming battle vehicles and playsets, creating a unified "world" children (or childish adults) can collect. While most were brand new sculpts, some figures were retools/redecos of Legends Class releases from previous lines, but the vast majority are tooled to accommodate 3mm weapon pegs and/or C joints. The entire gimmickof a small, compatible toy line with transformable, connectible bases seems to call back to the old Micromaster play pattern.

The Cyberverse play pattern continued with Transformers: Prime toys and ended with the Beast Hunters subline imprint. Its Japanese counterpart, just as with the Legends Class, was EZ Collection
