The Cyberglyphics pack-in comics is a 6-part comic series published by IDW Publishing as pack-in material for the Target-exclusive Dark of the Moon toys. The toys that come with the comics are Cyberglyphic-themed redecos of pre-existing molds. Each comic is titled only Transformers, with the cover depicting the character in which the issue comes packaged with, and much like the Foundation retailer incentive exclusive variant covers, each issue cover can combine to form a panorama of the central characters of the series, revealing its chronological order. The story chronicles Space Case's encounters with the Autobots and the Decepticons, bridging the gap between Nefarious and Rising Storm.

Overview[]Transformers — Jazz: While driving through the desert, Jazz detects a Cybertronian energy signature and goes after it. The stray energy trace turns out to be Space Case, trying to force a gas station attendant to give him all his energon. Jazz chooses that moment to intervene, and the two fight briefly. In the end Jazz weakened the cliff face behind Space Case, resulting in a rockslide burying him and saving the Human, who then thanks him for saving his life. Jazz, tickled at the idea of being "big guy" to someone, tells the attendant to help someone smaller than him in the future, and they'll be even. Transformers — Space Case: An earthquake jolts Space Case awake and provides him with the opportunity to free himself. Meanwhile, Arcee and Bumblebee are pulled away from a picnic with their friend Sam Witwicky to investigate an energy signal that appeared after the earthquake. Space Case ambushes them, and gets out of the cave. Triggering the feared cave-in and burying them alive. A short distance away, he congratulates himself on his clever escape and looks forward to flying again. Transformers — Ratchet: Ratchet is examining some soil samples after an earthquake in a remote desert location and receives a priority-one Autobot distress signal. Tracking the signal to its source, a nearby rumbling occurs. What he takes at first to be another earthquake is actually Space Case. Ratchet avoids the initial attack and leaps onto him, causing them both to crash into a subterranean cavern. Space Case recovers and attempts to impale him. Acknowledging the conflict between his belief in pacifism and the realities of war, and determined to rescue his friends, he retaliates. Space Case turns tail and runs. Ratchet extracts Arcee from the rubble, patches her up, and sends her after him, remarking that he was going to stay and save more lives. Transformers — Bumblebee: Bumblebee finds himself deep underground and the rocks around them are blocking his access to the radio transmissions he uses to communicate, his strength is fading and Sam is running out of air to breathe. Bee reminisces about being free to spend time with his friend. Even when they weren't buried, they still weren't always safe, because they could be attacked at any time. But they could always count on each other, like the time Sam used a downed power line to electrocute Starscream in a fight. He found the strength to lift the rocks out of their way. Ratchet found them, and marveled at how he moved such heavy rocks all by himself. Bumblebee simply observed "That's what friends are for." Transformers — Arcee: Arcee pursues Space Case to a city. Despite a damaged engine, he still has a significant speed advantage over her. Space Case, however, has gotten sidetracked by his quest for repairs, and chooses to wade into Denton's Auto Mart. demanding all their spare Cybertronian parts and a technician to repair his engine with them. Not only does this idea not work, it delays him long enough for Arcee to catch up to him. Panicking, he takes to the air in another attempt to escape. Arcee, determined not to let anything keep her down, speeds after Space Case, uses a building to ramp up to his altitude, and destroys his other engine. As he vanishes from sight, he promises to be back. Arcee knows she'll be ready. Transformers — Starscream: At the Decepticon camp in Namibia, while being beaten up by Megatron, Starscream, tired of endlessly submitting to his leader, snaps, and flies off with the intention of starting his own "New Decepticon Empire." Starscream then sees a shape plummet into a seaside pier. The shape is Space Case, who immediately attacks him, Starscream recognizing the rogue Decepticon and knowing that he is stupid enough to be manipulated, stops his insults and starts to lay on the compliments, hoping to recruit him as the first soldier in his new army. He succeeds and they both walk away, Starscream has finally found a partner who would listen to his thoughts. Creative team[]The Cyberglyphics pack-in comics were written by John Barber.
