Crankhandle was a Cybertronian who served as Ratchet's medical assistant. On one occasion, the pair were examining a robot named Coldwelder who had displayed erratic behavior. Upon discovering a foreign object in his skull casing, Ratchet had Crankhandle summon Cogwheel so she could provide a second opinion.
