Bumblebee is a courageous Autobot scout. While on a critical mission[1] to the planet Earth,[2] his memory chips are damaged, causing him to forget the task he was undertaking.[1] The mission could decide the fate of the planet, but Bumblebee's friends are there to help him out.[2] With Windblade's assistance, Bumblebee sets out to recover his memories and recalls past events – both good and bad – that helped to shape him into the Autobot he is today.[1]

Bumblebee was a cybertronian living on the planet of cybertron along with the rest of the cybertronians. He enjoyed playing cube a sport on cybertron and also use to go to velocitron a planet where racing was allowed completely. During a trip to velocitron he took Hot rod to see his old friend Blur and wanting to race with both of them. However the plague of rust reached velocitron destroying it and while Hot rod and Bumblebee managed to escape Blur stayed behind as he was infected and had to shut down the space bridge so the plague of rust wouldn't reach other worlds. While wanting to see a cube tournament he met Windblade who helped him get inside after a rough encounter with Strascream. When Strascream tried to reprogram the cube in order to make the game more enjoyable Bumblebee along with Windblade tried to stop him. However this lead to a hilarious moment where Bumblebee got hold of the cube and hold it for dear life as a result no one cared about the match and only remembered Bumblebee's stunt.
Bumblebee use to be a fan of Megatron when he was still a gladiator and when Megatron decided to enter the political race in order to create a better Cybertron where everybody would be equals Bumblebee became one of his supporters. He also hanged out in Maccadam's old oil house where the owner Maccadam would give his energon too cybertronians.
