Personality & Character
Blitzwing was a Decepticon who tracked the Autobot scout B-127 to the planet Earth. While B-127 was being attacked by a force of Sector Seven troops led by Agent Jack Burns, Blitzwing—disguised in his McDonnel F-4 Phantom II alt-mode—took the opportunity to attack. Burns was surprised by the arrival of the Air Force, but B-127 knew that the aircraft was a Decepticon and advised the humans to run. Blitzwing launched a missile attack on Autobot and human alike and then engaged B-127 directly. Despite being larger, Blitzwing was outmaneuvered by B-127; the smaller Autobot inflicted damage on Blitzwing's thrusters which negated the flight advantage that Blitzwing had.
Recovering, Blitzwing rallied and beat down B-127, hoisting him up and hanging him over a cliff. Interrogating the Autobot about Optimus Prime's location, B-127 refused to talk. In a rage, Blitzwing decided to take B-127's refusal to talk and make it personal by ripping out his voice synthesizer and dropping him from the cliff. Following B-127 down, Blitzwing intended to kill the Autobot. B-127 countered, tearing one of Blitzwing's missiles free from its launcher and then stabbing it into the Decepticon's chest. As Blitzwing tried to free the munition from his chest, B-127 moved away and used his arm cannon to detonate the missile. Blitzwing was killed in the resulting explosion.
Notes & Trivia
- Due to the coloration, Blitzwing was initially believed to be the character Starscream. Paramount even used Starscream's name in official material on their website, before removing the reference entirely. At 2018's San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that the character was, in fact, Blitzwing.
